Each time you level up, you are rewarded with a Skill Point which you can spend however you wish.
In order to level up, you will first need to gain enough EXP. You gain EXP by killing enemies. EXP gained from killing an enemy depends on the max life and defense of the enemy. The amount of EXP needed increases every time you level up.

This sheet displays the exact amount of EXP needed to level up from LVL 1-500.
The left side shows the base EXP amounts that applies for all classes.
The right side shows the EXP amounts if you have unlocked Efficient Learning in the Rogue Skill Tree.
