MAGIC SKILL TREE

Quick overview

The Magic Skill Tree consists of 71 Skills, including 2 abilities: Starfall and Overdrive.

In order to completely unlock all Skills within the Magic Skill Tree, you would at minimum need to be Level 214.

This Skill Tree leans towards powerful supportive and offensive Skills favoring a constant high DPS play style. In total there are 7 defensive, 19 supportive, 4 miscellaneous, 21 offensive and 20 ability-related Skills.

List of all Magic Skills and their effects

  • Fortify [Max Level 3] - Each level of Fortify increases your defense by 1, up to 3 defense.

  • Hearty [Max Level 5] - Each level of Hearty increases your maximum life by 2, up to 10 maximum life.

  • Healing Factor [Max Level 2] - Each level of Healing Factor increase your life regeneration by 1, up to 2 life regeneration.

  • Resilient Body 1 - Grants you complete immunity to the Bleeding de-buff.

  • Resilient Body 2 - Grants you complete immunity to the Frostburn and Poisoned de-buffs.

  • Swift Travel [Max Level 5] - Each level of Swift Travel increases your movement speed by 2%, up to 10% movement speed.

  • Won't Happen Again [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases your movement speed by 25% for 2 seconds after being hurt in any way.

  • Pained Exchange [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Restores 18-22 mana after being hurt in any way, this has a 2 second cooldown between activations. Also grants a 20% chance to survive a fatal blow inflicted upon you which has an 80 second cooldown between activations.

  • Through The Pain [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Reduces the cooldown activation time for Pained Exchange mana restore to 1 second, down from 2 seconds.

  • Greater Exchange [Max Level 5] - Each level of Greater Exchange increases the amount of mana restored by Pained Exchange by 4, up to 20 additional mana restored.


  • Maniacal Discovery - Increases EXP gained from killing enemies by 15-25% depending on the enemy.

  • Healthy Discovery - When you level up, immediately heal 25% of your max life.

  • Against The Odds - Increases EXP gained from killing bosses by 10-20% depending on the boss.

  • Amplified Discovery [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases EXP gained from killing enemies while any ability is active by 25-40% depending on the enemy.


  • Calm Mind [Max Level 5] - Each level of Calm Mind increases your maximum mana by 4, up to 20 maximum mana.

  • Blessed Mind [Max Level 5] - Each level of Blessed Mind increases your mana regeneration by 1, up to 5 mana regeneration.

  • Magic Momentum [Max Level 2] - Each level of Magic Momentum increases your mana regeneration by 2 while moving, up to 4 mana regeneration while moving.

  • Mana Streaks [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants a 5% chance of creating a Mana Streak when you hit an enemy with any magical attack, Mana Streaks restore 8-13 mana to you.

  • Cogent Streaks [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the chance of creating a Mana Streak when you hit an enemy by an additional 5%, to 10% in total.

  • Greater Streaks [Max Level 5] - Each level of Greater Streaks increases the mana restored by Mana Streaks by 1, up to 5 additional mana restored from Mana Streaks.

  • Peaceful Mind [Costs 2 Skills Points] - Increases your maximum mana by 40.

  • Frenzied Magic [Max Level 5] - Each level of Frenzied Magic increases your attack speed with magic weapons by 3%, up to 15% magic weapon attack speed.

  • Frenzied Potential [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases your attack speed with magic weapons up to 25% depending on your remaining mana, 25% magic weapon attack speed when at or below 10% mana.

  • Mighty Potential [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases your magic damage up to 25% depending on your remaining mana, 25% magic damage when at or below 10% mana.

  • Meditative Frenzy [Max Level 5] - Each level of Meditative Magic increases your attack speed with magic weapons by 4% when standing completely still, up to 20% magic weapon attack speed when standing still.

  • Star Orbit [Cost 2 Skill Points] - When hitting enemies with magical attacks, there is a 4.7% chance of spawning an Orbiting Star. Orbiting Stars orbit around you and automatically attack nearby enemies. Their damage depends on your currently held magic weapon and how far you've progressed through the game (progress is tracked with boss kills). Orbiting Stars have 5 different attack styles that depends on how much damage Orbiting Stars deal. When an Orbiting Star deals less than 20 damage, it fires a single star. At 20-40 damage, it fires two starts in a small spread. At 40-60 damage, it fires a burst of three stars. At 60-80 damage, it fires four stars in a shotgun pattern. At more than 80 damage, it fires 5-6 stronger and faster stars in a shotgun pattern. Only up to 2 Orbiting Stars can be present at once. While active, each Orbiting Star drains 24 mana every second. Orbiting Stars disappear naturally after 7 seconds.

  • Frenzied Stars [Max Level 5] - Each level of Frenzied Stars increases the fire rate of Orbiting Stars by 8%, up to 40% Orbiting Star fire rate.

  • Efficient Upkeep [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Decreases mana drain amount from Orbiting Stars by 100%, down to 12 mana drained every second.

  • Unlocked Starpower [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the amount of Orbiting Stars that can be present at once by 1, to a maximum of 3. Also increases the chances of spawning an Orbiting Star when hitting enemies with magical attacks to 7.7%, up from 4.7% chance.


  • Starfall [Ability 1, Costs 2 Skill Points] - Unlocks the Starfall ability activated with the Use Ability 1 keybind. During Starfall, a volley of colorful stars rain down on your cursor position. Different star colors create different effects on enemy contact. The duration of Starfall is 8 seconds and has a cooldown of 180 seconds.

  • Longer Starry Skies [Max Level 4] - Each level of Longer Starry Skies increases the duration of Starfall by 1 second, up to a 4 second increase.

  • Cooling Starlight [Max Level 5] - Each level of Cooling Starlight decreases the cooldown of Starfall by 5 seconds, up to a 25 second cooldown decrease.

  • Starry Cumulation [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the frequency of all stars that rain down during Starfall by 30%.

  • Starry Pinpoint [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the accuracy by 75% and velocity by 28% of all stars rained down during Starfall.

  • Weapon Syphon [Costs 2 Skill Points, Max Level 3] - Each level of Weapon Syphon increases the damage of all Starfall stars by 10% of your currently held magic weapon, up to 30% damage of your currently held magic weapon.

  • Imbued Stars [Max Level 5] - Each level of Imbued Stars increases the chance for Starfall stars to inflict a damaging de-buff to an enemy on contact by 5%, up to 25% chance for a damaging de-buff. The de-buff type depends on the color of the star.

  • Starry Novas [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants all Starfall stars a 10% chance of exploding on contact.

  • Cosmic Coalescence [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the amount of stars that fall during Starfall by 100%.

  • Charged Stars [Costs 2 Skill Points, Max Level 5] - Each level of Charged Stars increases the chance for a Charged Star to fall during Starfall by 2%, up to 10% chance for a Charged Star to fall every 0.25-0.35 seconds. Charged Stars are bigger, deal more damage and explode into 4-6 smaller stars with homing capabilities. These smaller stars deal 50% less damage than the Charged Star.


  • Magical Prowess [Max Level 4] - Each level of Magical Prowess increases your magic damage by 2%, up to 8% magic damage.

  • Manasteal [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants you a 1.1% chance for you to restore 6-18 mana when hitting an enemy with a magical attack.

  • Greater Manasteal [Max Level 5] - Each level of Greater Manasteal increases the chances for Manasteal to restore mana when hitting an enemy with a magical attack by an extra 1.1%, up to a total of 6.6% chance for Manasteal to restore mana.

  • Star Drizzle [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants you a 1.5% chance to rain multiple red stars down on an enemy hit by any magical attack. Their damage depends on the magical weapon used to create the stars.

  • Chance Of Drizzle [Costs 2 Skill Points, Max Level 5] - Each level of Chance Of Drizzle increases the chances for Star Drizzle to rain down multiple red stars on the enemy hit by a magical attack by an extra 0.8%, up to a total of 5.5% chance for Star Drizzle to rain down multiple red stars.

  • Greater Drizzle [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the damage of Star Drizzle red stars by 22%.

  • Stormy Drizzle [Costs 2 Skill Points] - All stars created by Star Drizzle explode on contact with enemies.

  • Debilitating Magic [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants you a 3.3% chance for your magical attacks to inflict a random damaging de-buff onto hit enemies.

  • Coated Debilitation [Max Level 5] - Each level of Coated Debilitation increases the duration of de-buffs inflicted with Debilitating Magic by 50-75% depending on the de-buff, up to 250-375% duration increase to de-buffs inflicted from Debilitating Magic.

  • Versatile Magic [Costs 3 Skill Points] - Increases the chance of applying a damaging de-buff from Debilitating Magic by an extra 3.3% chance, up to a total of 6.6% chance. Also increases the amount of mana restored from Manasteal by an additional 4-11, up to a total of 10-29 mana restored from Manasteal.

  • Startrail [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Your magic attacks have a 0.5% chance every tick to spawn a trailing star behind them. Trailing stars damage depends on the magical attack used to create the stars.

  • Startrail Intelligence [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Trailing stars gain slow homing capabilities against nearby enemies.

  • Jack-Of-All-Stars [Costs 3 Skill Points] - Increases the amount of stars created from Star Drizzle by an additional 1-3, up to a maximum of 2-6 Star Drizzle stars. Also increases the velocity of trailing stars created from Startrail by 50%.

  • Starry Boomtrail [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Trailing stars will explode when they come in contact with an enemy.


  • Magician's Aura [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants you the Mages Aura. When you nearly miss enemies or offensive projectiles, gain 1 Near Miss stack. Each stack of Near Miss increases your movement speed 0.5%. Near Miss stacks slowly decay over a few seconds.

  • Mana Drain [Max Level 4] - Each level of Mana Drain increases the amount of mana that is restored to you when you gain a Near Miss stack by 1-4, up 4-16 mana restored whenever you gain a Near Miss stack.

  • Power Drain [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Near Miss stacks now also increase your magic damage by 0.25% per stack.

  • Far Call [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the size of your Mages Aura which also increases the distance that counts as nearly missing, but increases the cooldown between gaining Near Miss stacks by an additional 3 ticks.

  • Quicker Perception [Max Level 3] - Each level of Quicker Perception decreases the cooldown between gaining Near Miss stacks by 1 tick, up to 3 ticks shorter cooldown between Near Miss stacks.

  • Close Call [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Whenever you gain a Near Miss stack, there is a 20% chance of gaining an additional Near Miss stack.

  • Mind Of Its Own [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants Mages Aura the ability to attack nearby enemies every ~1 second, the attack deals damage based on progression (progress is tracked with boss kills).

  • Greater Conscience [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants attacks from Mages Aura weak homing capabilities.


  • Overdrive [Ability 2, Costs 2 Skill Points] - Unlocks the Overdrive ability activated with the Use Ability 2 keybind. During Overdrive, consuming energy charges up Overdrive. Energy is spawned passively or created by attacking with your magic weapons. Once Overdrive is charged, your magic damage is increased by 35%, magic critical hit chance is increased by 15%, mana restores extremely quick and all your magical attacks will create an Overcharge explosion. The duration of Overdrive is 12 seconds and has a cooldown of 320 seconds.

  • Efficient Work [Max Level 4] - Each level of Efficient Work increases the duration of Overdrive by 1 second, up to a 4 second increase.

  • Quicker Cooling [Max Level 5] - Each level of Quicker Cooling decreases the cooldown of Overdrive by 6 seconds, up to a 30 second cooldown decrease.

  • Overcharge [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Increases the amount of energy that is passively spawned during the charging phase of the Overdrive ability by 30%.

  • Volatile Energy [Costs 2 Skill Points] - After Overdrive has been charged, energy continues to spawn. All energy spawned after Overdrive has been charged turns volatile. Volatile energy gains strong homing capabilities and the ability to damage enemies. Volatile energy damage depends on your currently held magic weapon.

  • More Volatility [Max Level 4] - Each level of More Volatility increases the passive spawn rate of volatile energy by 8%, up to 32% increased passive volatile energy spawn rate.

  • Volatile Verves [Max Level 3] - Each level of Volatile Verves increases the chance for volatile energy to split into 3 Verves mid-air by 5%, up to 15% chance for volatile energy to split into 3 Verves. Each Verve deals 50% of the volatile energy damage.

  • Non-Stop Adrenaline [Costs 2 Skill Points] - While attacking enemies with magical attacks, there is a 5% chance to reduce the cooldown of Overdrive by 1 second. This effect is applied even when Overdrive is not active.

  • Potent Adrenaline [Max Level 4] - Each level of Potent Adrenaline increases Non-Stop Adrenaline's cooldown reduction of Overdrive by an additional 1 second, up to a maximum of 5 seconds reduced cooldown for Overdrive.

  • Explosive Dispersion [Costs 2 Skill Points] - Grants Overcharge explosions a lingering after effect. After effects deal 50% of the explosion damage.
